These pictures explore the dynamic elements that can be experienced with heightened awareness in a place where mankind has not yet overlaid the landscape with modernity. The pictures convey this elemental quality, especially those on or near the coast where the cycles of nature, tempered by human activity, are expressed in the dynamics of wind and sea and light.
